Do you want to know about gardening?
Do you want to earn as you learn?
Father Nature has many opportunities for part time or casual work – perfect for fitting in with family life.
Over the last few years we have employed many young parents in this way and we would like to do more with you.
To find out more about how Father Nature works with young parents to improve job opportunities and benefit the community see here.
As a father of two young boys, James Swayne, founder of Father Nature, understands the importance of fathers in family life and wants to stay true to the roots of Father Nature which started out as a voluntary gardening project in 2005 for young and teenage dads in Lambeth, funded by St Michael’s Fellowship, a local family charity. Father Nature continues to work with St Michael’s, now helping to provide work opportunities for the young parents who use their services.
Aware that many young Dads (and Mums) struggle to be a good parent and a good earner, Father Nature offers paid work with flexible hours where you can learn gardening skills on the job as well as talk about the many challenges and joys of being a parent. You’ll also learn about the business of gardening (making money from the things that you grow!) which can lead to more permanent employment.

Father Nature Apprenticeships
Father Nature would like to take on full time apprentices in the near future. Currently we are seeking funding or sponsorship to make this a reality so that we can help more young parents establish a career in gardening. If you can help, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
